Welcome to Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy

We are currently collecting donations to help send our graduating 8th Graders to Puerto Rico. Our students will be embarking on this educational adventure this coming June. Please show your support by making a secure donation below.

Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy is a tuition-free chartered public school serving DC students from Prekindergarten through Grade 8.

We currently have openings in grades Preschool through 8 for the 2010-2011 school year. Spaces are limited and applicants will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrollment information can be found here.

We invite all parents of all prospective students to visit us during one of our weekly open house events. We will hold open house each Wednesday beginning February 3rd through May 12th between 9 and 3 and the third Saturday of the month from 9-12.

Saturday, May 1: Car Wash from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM Joint fundraiser to benefit 8th Grade Class trip to Puerto Rico and MMB Eagles Baseball Team. 1404 Jackson St. NE, entrance on Jackson St.

Saturday, May 15: The 6th Annual Mother's Tea will be held from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Come and celebrate Mother's Day with an elegant tea party. The event is free and brunch will be served.
