Welcome to Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy

Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy is a tuition-free chartered public school serving DC students from Prekindergarten through Grade 8.

Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy offers the best in language immersion education. Our small community setting offers a 1:10 teacher to student ratio where students receive an education tailored to their styles of learning. You can find more information about our academic program by clicking here.


Now Enrolling!

We currently have openings in grades Preschool through 8 for the 2010-2011 school year. Spaces are limited and applicants will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrollment information can be found here.

We invite all parents of all prospective students to visit us during one of our weekly open house events. We will hold open house each Wednesday beginning February 3rd through May 12th between 9 and 3 and the third Saturday of the month from 9-12.
